# Surfr

> Surfr is a kitesurfing, windsurfing, and wing-foiling tracker for iPhone,
> Android, Apple Watch, Wear OS, and Garmin. It measures jumps (height,
> airtime, distance), tracks sessions, runs wind forecasts, and hosts a
> community of riders with leaderboards, a discover map, and a feed.

The Surfr app launched in 2019 and was the first to measure kitesurf jumps
from a phone alone. Today the app counts more than 150K riders' sessions
across 120+ countries. Built by Surfr B.V., based in the Netherlands.

The mobile app is free to download. Subscriptions (Plus, PRO) unlock
deeper analytics, watch-only tracking, on-board coaching, Jump Insights,
and downwinder navigation.

## Things to know

- **Watch support**: Apple Watch (Series 4+), Wear OS, and Garmin. Apple Watch and Wear OS recording require PRO. Garmin sync via the Surfr Connect IQ app works without PRO.
- **First-time users**: Five free sessions before any subscription is needed. Plus and PRO each include a 14-day free trial.
